Terms and Conditions
These terms explain how you buy and use a QuickSIM eSIM. Please read them before you confirm your order. By ticking the agreement box at checkout and completing your purchase, you accept these terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information and forms part of these terms.
1. Who we are
QuickSIM ("we", "us", "our") sells data-only eSIM plans for travellers, through this website. The destinations we sell for are the ones you can choose from in the shop. You can reach us at support@quicksim.world or through the live chat on our website.
2. Key words used in these terms
eSIM means the digital SIM profile that we supply to you. Plan means the data allowance and validity period you buy. Device means the phone, tablet or other equipment you install the eSIM on. Activation means the point at which the eSIM connects to a mobile network for the first time.
3. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 18 years old to buy a plan, or have the permission of a parent or guardian who accepts these terms on your behalf. You must give us accurate contact details, keep your login details secure, and tell us promptly if you believe someone else has access to your account.
4. What we provide
We provide a data-only eSIM that connects in the destination shown with the plan you buy. Plans do not include a telephone number and do not support traditional voice calls or SMS messages. You can still use data-based services such as messaging apps and video calls.
Plans are sold for personal, non-commercial use and are supplied subject to availability. Data usage is measured by our network partners and may be capped or restricted where we reasonably believe a plan is being used excessively or in breach of section 10.
5. Placing an order
Your order is an offer to buy a plan. A contract is formed when we email your eSIM details to the address you gave us. Before then, we may decline or cancel an order, for example where we cannot verify your details, where there is an obvious pricing or description error, or where the plan is no longer available. If we cancel before supply, we refund you in full.
6. Prices, vouchers and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where it applies. The price you are shown at checkout is the price that applies to your order. We may change our prices at any time, but never after you have paid.
Payment is taken at checkout through our payment provider, Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. If your card is issued in another currency, your bank may apply its own exchange rate and charges, which are outside our control.
From time to time we offer voucher codes. A code gives the discount described when we publish it, must be entered at checkout before you pay, and cannot be applied to an order afterwards. Only one code can be used per order unless we say otherwise. Codes cannot be exchanged for cash, may be withdrawn at any time, and may carry their own conditions such as a minimum spend or an expiry date. We will always honour a code used on an order we have already accepted.
7. Delivery
We deliver your eSIM by email, usually within minutes of payment. In busy periods it can take longer. Please check your spam or junk folder before contacting us. You are responsible for making sure you can receive our emails and that you have an eSIM-capable, carrier-unlocked device before you order.
8. Activation, validity and expiry
You must install and activate your eSIM within 30 days of purchase unless your plan says otherwise. A plan's validity period starts when the eSIM first connects to a network, or on the date the plan states. Data expires at the end of the validity period. Unused data is not refundable, does not roll over, and cannot be exchanged for cash or credit.
9. Device compatibility
eSIM plans only work on devices that support eSIM and are not locked to another network. You are responsible for checking that your device is compatible before ordering, and you can use our compatibility checker for guidance. We do not refund a plan where the eSIM will not work because the device is incompatible, locked or faulty.
10. Fair use and acceptable use
You agree not to resell, transfer, share or commercially exploit your eSIM or plan, not to use the service for anything unlawful, fraudulent or harmful, not to send spam, and not to attempt to bypass data limits or network restrictions. We may suspend, restrict or end your service without notice where we reasonably believe these terms have been broken. Where we end your service for a breach, you are not entitled to a refund.
Some plans are sold as unlimited. Unlimited means the data allowance does not run out; it does not mean speeds are unrestricted. An unlimited plan includes a high-speed allowance for each day of use — 1GB, 2GB or 3GB a day, for example. Once that allowance has been used for the day, your data continues without any cap but at a reduced speed, typically between 512 Kbps and 1 Mbps depending on the plan, until the allowance resets — 24 hours after the plan first connected to a network. Video streaming, large downloads and heavy file sharing may not work well at those speeds. We do not cut the connection off, and we do not charge you for data used at the reduced speed.
The daily allowance and the reduced speed are set by the network that provides the plan, so they differ between destinations and plans and can change without notice. Where the plan you buy states its own allowance or speed, that figure applies.
11. Coverage and service quality
We provide access through partner mobile networks. Coverage, signal strength and data speeds depend on things we cannot control, including location, buildings, terrain, weather, network congestion and maintenance. We do not guarantee coverage everywhere or any particular speed, and we do not offer a service level commitment.
Because plans are data-only, emergency calls (999 or 112) cannot be made using the eSIM, and emergency services cannot call you back on it. Always keep a separate means of making emergency calls.
12. Cancellation and refunds
If you buy as a consumer in the United Kingdom, you normally have 14 days to cancel a distance contract. However, our plans are digital content supplied immediately. By ticking the agreement box at checkout, you ask us to supply your eSIM straight away and you acknowledge that you lose your right to cancel once supply has begun. Supply begins when we email your eSIM details.
If we never supply your eSIM, or if the eSIM is faulty or cannot be made to work after reasonable help from our support team, we will replace it or give you a full refund. Refunds are returned to your original payment method, normally within 5 to 10 working days. We do not refund change of mind after activation, unused data, expired plans, or plans bought for an incompatible or locked device.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
13. Our liability to you
We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill, but our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for the plan affected. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit, loss of business or loss of opportunity.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
14. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for keeping your account details secure, following the installation and activation instructions we send you, keeping your device software up to date, and complying with the laws of any country you use the eSIM in.
15. Suspension and closing accounts
We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if the law requires it, if we reasonably believe it is being used fraudulently, or if a payment is reversed or charged back. Where we can, we will tell you why. If we close your account because these terms have been broken, plans you have already bought are not refundable and any unused data is lost.
You can ask us to close your account at any time. We will delete your account details as described in our Privacy Policy, but we keep order records for as long as tax law requires.
16. Intellectual property
Our website, its content, our branding and any software we supply belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute or use them except as needed to use your plan in the ordinary way.
17. Your data and privacy
We do not sell customer information. We never have, we do not rent or trade it, and we do not pass it to advertisers or data brokers. We make our money selling eSIM plans, not selling information about our customers.
We use the personal information you give us to create your account, take payment, deliver your eSIM, keep your order history and support you afterwards. That means sharing only what is necessary with the organisations that help us run the service: Stripe (payments), our eSIM supplier (who creates your eSIM profile), our email provider (who sends your eSIM and account emails) and our hosting provider. Some of them are outside the UK, and we use the safeguards UK law requires for those transfers. Card payments are handled entirely by Stripe, and we never receive your full card details.
We handle your information in line with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, and we keep it only as long as we need it. Our Privacy Policy sets out in full what we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, who we share it with and how to use your rights. It forms part of these terms. If you would rather have a copy by email, ask us and we will send you one.
Our website uses only essential cookies and browser storage: there are no advertising or analytics cookies, and your activity is not tracked across other websites. Section 10 of the Privacy Policy explains exactly what is stored on your device.
18. Things outside our control
If something outside our control stops or delays us doing what we promised, for example a mobile network outage, a failure at our supplier, a cyber attack, a power cut, industrial action or a change in the law, we will contact you to explain. The service is suspended for as long as the event lasts and any deadlines are extended. If it continues for a long time, or we cannot supply your eSIM at all, you can cancel the affected order and we will refund it in full.
19. Complaints
If something has gone wrong, please contact us first through the live chat or at support@quicksim.world. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 5 working days and to resolve them within 8 weeks. If we cannot resolve a complaint between us, you may be able to use an independent alternative dispute resolution provider. This does not affect your right to go to court.
If your complaint is about how we have handled your personal information, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
20. Changes to these terms and the service
We may update these terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the law or our service. The version that applies to your order is the version published when you placed it. The date at the top of this page shows when these terms were last updated.
We may also change, add or withdraw parts of the service, such as a plan, a destination or a feature, and we may stop selling a plan altogether. If we withdraw something you have already bought and paid for but not yet used, we will either provide an equivalent replacement or refund the unused part.
21. Other important terms
We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation, and we will tell you in writing if we do. If any part of these terms is found to be invalid, the rest of them remain in force. Only you and we can enforce these terms.
22. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes can be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
